PRODUCTION ZONE: Plains and hills close to Cividale del Friuli (NE Italy)
GROWING SYSTEM: Guyot and Friuli single inverted
HARVEST PERIOD: September
WINEMAKING: Once a slight over ripeness on the vines is reached the whole grapes are gently pressed to obtain the must followed by a cold static decantation. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats
under controlled temperature. Follows a slow aging and refining in 500 litres oak barrels. The wine is released after one year and a half from the harvest.
ALCOHOL: 13,5% vol. average
COLOUR: Intense straw yellow with golden highlights.
TASTING NOTES: The nose is elegant and fruity with pleasant vanilla hints, pastries and ripe fruits. On the palate it is bold and persistent. The all surrounding mouth echoes the fruit and the smoothness long lastingly while the enticing freshness invites for a new sip.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 12 – 14 °C
SUGGESTED PAIRING: A good pairing for rich pasta dishes, medium aged cheeses, tasty fishes, white meats and deep fries.
